Job summary

UFG Insurance is seeking a Product Analyst II to drive product innovation and profitability. You will oversee research on trends and regulatory changes, help develop multi-year strategic plans, and support alignment with corporate objectives.

The role requires collaboration with multiple departments, mentoring junior analysts, and strong knowledge of industry bureaus. The position emphasizes evaluating coverages, drafting forms, and leveraging tools like SERFF and Tableau to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, finance, insurance, risk management or equivalent.
• Industry designation(s) such as AINS, AU, or CPCU preferred, or actively pursuing.
• 3+ years of related property and casualty insurance work experience.
• Prior experience in product development, forms development and/or underwriting background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate coverages for product improvement and profitability in response to changes.
• Collaborate with Product Supervisor to develop evolving roadmaps and strategic goals.
• Maintain current systems and coverages; assist in developing new products.
• Review competitor market intelligence and industry circulars (ISO, AAIS, NCCI).
• Mentor and train new Product Analysts on systems, procedures, and department culture.
• Draft new coverage forms and changes to existing forms.
• Provide clear communication on product decisions and recommendations.
• Articulate requirements for system-related product changes.
