Job summary

Social Discovery Group is seeking a Senior Product Analyst to join our main product team. This remote role focuses on owning the metrics tree, validating dashboards, and delivering data-driven recommendations to improve the north-star metric across our global products.

You will lead research on metric fluctuations, bottlenecks, and segmentation, and design robust A/B tests with defined data-tracking requirements. A background in statistics and marketing metrics is essential.

Qualifications

• Mathematical or technical higher education.
• Knowledge of mathematical statistics and probability theory.
• Proficient in data extraction, processing, analysis and visualization tools (MS SQL, Python, Excel).
• Deep experience in running and analyzing A/B tests.
• Deep knowledge of marketing metrics and using them.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve the metrics tree.
• Validate metrics and write specs for Data Engineering.
• Define a single, locked definition per metric.
• Decompose the north-star metric to controllable levels.
• Run ad-hoc investigations into metric fluctuations.
• Collaborate with functional leads.
• Investigate bottlenecks and segmentation.
• Validate product hypotheses.
• Data mining for patterns and growth opportunities.
• Prioritize problems with Product by impact.
• Design AB test calculations (sample size, MDE, duration).
• Verify test splits and run sanity checks.
• Report results with guardrail metrics.
• Define data-tracking requirements.
• Maintain the test archive.
• Deliver actionable recommendations from experiments.
• Surface data-quality issues.
