Job summary

FinQuery is seeking a Senior Product Accounting Manager to translate US GAAP, IFRS, GASB into software requirements and guide product development across the portfolio. This role partners with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales to ensure the software reflects accurate accounting interpretations.

You’ll lead research, stay ahead of standard-setters, and build the accounting foundation for new product areas while mentoring junior staff and ensuring robust internal controls and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Active CPA license required.
• Four to six years of progressive experience in Big 4 audit/assurance or senior corporate accounting.
• Extensive background in technical accounting research, documentation, and standard application.

Responsibilities

• Translate US GAAP, IFRS, GASB and other frameworks into software requirements and test cases.
• Research ambiguous accounting questions and document conclusions.
• Stay ahead of standard-setters by monitoring FASB, IASB, and GASB publications.
• Build the accounting foundation for new product areas with examples and edge cases.
• Lead cross-functional working groups and influence outcomes.
• Mentor junior team members and improve the team’s capabilities.
• Test new accounting features end-to-end and drive resolution of issues.
• Talk to customers to explain accounting treatment in the product.
