The Opportunity:
The Senior Procurement Specialist be at the forefront of our organization's purchasing strategies, leveraging your expertise to secure the best deals, foster strong supplier relationships, and streamline our procurement and tracking processes while being a customer service orientated person. The Senior Procurement Specialist will have a good sense of initiative, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize, as well as satisfy immediate requests to ad-hoc duties as needed by program leadership. As our Senior Procurement Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement cycle for all items required by our organization, from office supplies to major equipment. You'll also implement and maintain robust tracking systems to ensure full visibility and accountability throughout the procurement process for our own purchases as well as across all our partners procurement cycles. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse team is also crucial. The program emphasizes innovation, and CACI looks for individuals who can bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural.
Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement of all items needed across the organization, including supplies, equipment, services, and materials
Develop and maintain a centralized tracking system for all purchases, from requisition to delivery
Implement inventory management practices to optimize stock levels and reduce waste
Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, quality, and delivery terms
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in procurement records and compliance with company policies
Generate detailed reports on procurement activities, spending patterns, and supplier performance
Collaborate with departments to forecast needs and plan purchases accordingly
Ensure all purchased items meet quality standards and are delivered on time
Coordinate procurement activities, including the preparation of purchase orders within the purchasing system and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain positive relationships.
Assist in the preparation of cost reports and budgets.
Maintain and track all documentation, licenses and vendor documentation on their respective websites becoming the “go to” person for issuing information to the Engineering team.
Manage and update the procurement database, including supplier information and procurement records.
Qualifications:
Proficient is MS Office suite – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledgeable in SharePoint
Ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance
12+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently with little direction and guidance.
Have demonstrated communications skills with all levels of program and customer management and staff

The proposed salary range for this position is:
