Job summary

TAS Energy Inc., a Houston-headquartered manufacturer, is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead procurement strategy and supplier relationships. You will optimize costs, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely, high-quality acquisitions across goods and services.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in procurement or supply chain, a engineering or SCM background, and CPSM/CSCP/CPM certifications are a plus. This role reports into the Procurement leadership and requires strong analytics.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Experience with contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Familiarity with sourcing software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to interpret market trends and make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
• Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenditure.
• Negotiate contracts and secure favorable terms with suppliers and vendors.
• Review and manage supplier contracts for feasibility and compliance.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers.
• Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing with business needs.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking, and risk assessments.
• Lead and develop the procurement team to ensure high performance (includes direct and dotted line people responsibilities)
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
• Other tasks as assigned by TAS
