Pacific Steel Group is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead strategic procurement across the steel mill, aligning sourcing with production goals and cost efficiency. The role focuses on building strong supplier relationships, negotiating favorable contracts, and driving cost savings while maintaining compliance and supplier performance metrics.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in manufacturing procurement, excellent negotiation and analytics skills, and hands-on experience with ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• Experience in procurement management, preferably in manufacturing or steel industry.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and procurement best practices.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with the steel mill's business objectives.
• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
• Sourcing and Vendor Selection: Lead sourcing, issue RFPs, and evaluate bids.
• Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Cost Management: Implement strategies to optimize procurement spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with logistics and production teams to optimize supply chain processes.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain and commodity price fluctuations.
• Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with laws, regulations, and ethics.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports on procurement performance and spend.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the procurement team.
