Job summary

Strativ Group in Pittsburgh is seeking a Senior Construction & Services Procurement Manager to own the procurement for construction, installation and facilities services tied to factory expansion. You will scope work, run RFPs, evaluate bids and negotiate MSAs and SOWs while coordinating with Facilities, Engineering, Project Management, Legal and Finance to keep critical milestones on track.

This role targets labor rates, general conditions, change orders and schedule risk, with hybrid work

Qualifications

• 6+ years in procurement or contracts, with at least two of those buying construction, installation or facilities services.
• Negotiated with tier-1 GCs and trade partners; understand union labor rate build-up.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and contracting GCs, MEP trades and installation partners for factory expansion.
• Building RFPs with proper scopes of work, then leveling bids for comparison.
• Negotiating MSAs, SOWs and construction contracts across design-build, T&M and fixed-price.
• Managing subcontractors through execution: change orders, invoice review, claims, closeout.
• Setting KPIs and running business reviews with critical suppliers.
• Supporting EPC agreements on customer deployment projects.
• Working daily with Facilities, Engineering, Project Management, Legal and Finance to keep sourcing ahead of construction milestones.
• Boiling all of it down into clear, short recommendations for senior leadership.

Senior Construction & Services Procurement Manager

Greater Pittsburgh (Hybrid)

We're supporting a fast-growing energy technology company that's building out factory capacity in the region and deploying its hardware on customer sites across the US. They need someone to own how the construction, installation and services around all of that gets bought.

They're looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to run the construction, tool installation and facilities services categories. You'll scope the work, run the RFPs, take contractor bids apart, negotiate the terms and manage the subs once they're on site. You'll also support EPC-style customer projects putting the product in the ground in the field.

This isn't corporate indirect. It's labor rates, general conditions, change orders and schedule risk.

If you've spent your career on the contractor side and want to move to the owner side without losing the hands-on part, this is that move.

What you'll work on:

• Sourcing and contracting general contractors, MEP trades and installation partners for factory expansion and equipment hookup
• Building RFPs with proper scopes of work, then levelling bids so three very different quotes become one honest comparison
• Negotiating MSAs, SOWs and construction contracts across design-build, T&M and fixed-price
• Managing subcontractors through execution: change orders, invoice review, claims, closeout
• Setting KPIs and running business reviews with critical suppliers
• Supporting EPC agreements on customer deployment projects, a mix of materials and services
• Working daily with Facilities, Engineering, Project Management, Legal and Finance to keep sourcing ahead of construction milestones
• Boiling all of it down into clear, short recommendations for senior leadership

What we're looking for:

You’ll bring 6+ years in procurement or contracts with at least two of those buying construction, installation or facilities services. You've negotiated with tier-1 GCs and trade partners, you know what a union labor rate build-up looks like, and you're comfortable making a contractor itemise a lump sum. Strong in Excel, sharp on TCO and cost analysis, and able to present to director and VP level without burying the answer. EPC, subcontracts or capital projects background is ideal. Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or equivalent experience.
