Our client is looking for a Project Manager - Subcontracts to lead procurement and subcontract buyout for mission‑critical EPC construction projects in the greater DC area. This is a project‑facing role that partners closely with engineering and project leadership to build scopes, source qualified subcontractors and suppliers, and negotiate strong commercial agreements that support schedule and budget goals. Relocation assistance is available for this position!

What You’ll Do

• Lead procurement for subcontracted scopes, materials, and equipment
• Develop CSI‑based scopes of work with engineering and project teams (25% travel required to project sites)
• Source and qualify subcontractors and suppliers to ensure strong bid coverage
• Negotiate pricing, schedule commitments, and contract terms
• Support award execution and subcontract/vendor performance post‑award
• Track market conditions and identify cost‑saving opportunities
• Help reduce risk through clear scopes, competitive sourcing, and proactive planning

What We’re Looking For

• 6–10+ years in construction procurement, subcontract buyout, supply chain, or EPC delivery
• Experience supporting commercial, industrial, civil, or mission‑critical projects
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working directly with project teams in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency with ERP/procurement tools and Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
