Job summary

Advarra, a leader in clinical research and ethical review, seeks a Senior Manager of Procurement to lead a multi-category spend strategy (~$75M indirect). You will drive sourcing, governance, and team-building across sites in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include guiding the Source-to-Pay process, vendor onboarding, and reporting value to executives. Strong negotiation, analytics, and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, engineering, technology, or similar.
• Five+ years of procurement experience as a Category Manager with Technology and Business Services sourcing.
• Proven negotiation experience and training to lead vendor negotiations.
• Experience with mature Source-to-Pay processes and related systems (ERP, CLM, spend tools).
• CPSM or CPP designation or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead an enterprise-wide procurement strategy including governance and policy.
• Own sourcing and buying processes within Source-to-Pay and vendor onboarding.
• Set strategic sourcing across seven categories, focusing on Technology/BS and Travel/Marketing/Operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to award business to qualified vendors at best value.
• Track value realized from sourcing activities and report to leadership.
• Work with cross-functional teams to standardize vendor onboarding processes.
• Build and lead a procurement team and develop talent.
• Oversee procurement governance and multi-year roadmaps.
• Lead a procurement steering committee for prioritization and escalation.
