Job summary

RTX is seeking a senior procurement leader to manage the ASDS Mechanical Procurement team, ensuring compliant purchasing with FAR/DFAR and effective performance metrics. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Engineering, and Programs, and requires up to 10% travel to supplier sites.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in defense procurement, supplier negotiations, and risk management, with a track record of mentoring teams and presenting at executive levels.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience, or an Advanced Degree with 7–10 years experience.
• U.S. Person or eligible to obtain export authorizations (per ECFR link).

Responsibilities

• Manage one of the ASDS Mechanical Procurement teams and establish effective measures of performance and metrics.
• Ensure team members have the knowledge and skills to perform purchasing tasks (FAR/DFAR) and provide on-the-job training.
• Support team to clarify scope of supply, purchasing requirements, and statement of work for procurement activities.
• Manage compliance with procurement process and ensure all approvals are in place prior to PO release.
• Engage with specialists to address conflicts/risks with terms that vary from standard PO terms.
• Support supplier engagement activities including negotiations and supplier performance management.
