Job summary

Blue Origin in California seeks a Senior Procurement Manager to own the supply chain performance for its commercial programs. You will lead a team of professional buyers, drive strategic sourcing, and execute long-term agreements across a diverse supplier base.

This is a high-visibility role shaping procurement strategy and supplier relationships at scale. You will partner with manufacturing and quality engineering, manage capacity planning, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, SCM, Business or related field; or Master’s with 7+ years of equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading procurement teams in aerospace/defense/advanced manufacturing.
• Experience managing commercial procurement for complex BOMs under FFP contracts and LTAs.

Responsibilities

• Own program-level supply chain performance, including schedule, cost, and EAC with regular reporting.
• Mentor and develop a team of Supply Chain Buyers and drive professional development.
• Lead strategic sourcing and negotiation of FFP contracts and LTAs across suppliers.
• Develop procurement policies, templates, and digital tools for compliance and traceability.
• Analyze supplier performance and implement targeted improvement strategies.
• Manage supplier capacity, tooling, and ramp to protect program build rates.
• Oversee manufacturing readiness and MRL/TRL maturation roadmaps.
• Ensure detailed plans align with program goals and drive mitigation for risks.
• Communicate status and risks to leadership with tailored reports.
