Job summary

MTS in San Diego seeks an Assistant Manager of Procurement (Professional Services and Commodities) to lead the procurement team and manage high-complexity procurements across rolling stock, IT, finance, marketing and more. You will oversee bids, contracts and supplier performance, ensuring regulatory currency and policy adherence.

The role requires expert knowledge of procurement procedures, templates, and cross-functional collaboration with IT, HR, Finance and Legal teams to meet project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or related field is required.
• Six years of procurement experience with at least two years in a supervisory/managerial role in a public procurement environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee acquisition of rolling stock, IT, professional services and commodities in compliance with regulations.
• Supervise staff and provide guidance, support and expertise.
• Coordinate solicitations, bid evaluations, vendor selection and contract execution.
• Prepare procurement documents and maintain procurement records.
