Job summary

California State University Dominguez Hills is seeking a Procurement Professional III to independently manage complex procurements from request through award. You will prepare, review, negotiate, and coordinate various agreements while ensuring CSU policies and legal compliance.

Reporting to the Procurement Department in Administration and Finance, the role requires expertise in procurement best practices, contract terms, and risk management for university operations and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with four years of procurement experience.
• Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Advanced degree may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Process complex procurement requests from initial request through purchase order issuance.
• Review requisitions, scopes of work, specifications, quotes, funding docs for completeness and compliance.
• Determine the appropriate procurement method based on purchase value, funding source, and circumstances.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, change orders, and other procurement documents.
• Negotiate and administer a variety of agreements, including service and consulting agreements.
• Coordinate agreement review with campus departments, Risk Management, IT, and legal counsel.
• Ensure compliance with CSU policies, laws, and university procedures.
• Negotiate terms and resolve exceptions with vendors and other contracting parties.
