Job summary

TAI is seeking a Senior Process Utilities Engineer to lead design and coordination of essential process utility systems for pharmaceutical and biotech operations in Charlottesville, VA. You will develop technical specifications, engineering studies, and oversee design packages, collaborating across disciplines to move projects from concept to implementation.

The role requires eight or more years of process design experience, strong knowledge of PFDs/P&IDs, and familiarity with regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer licensure is preferred.
• 8+ years of process design engineering experience for pharma/biotech projects.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, equipment and piping specs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Project Technical Requirements Specifications for all systems and standards.
• Research industry standards and prepare engineering studies and detailed process designs.
• Develop engineering specifications and project cost estimates.
• Review design work and manage scope changes with managers.
• Coordinate project documentation and lead CAD designers for construction drawings.
• Ensure compliance with codes and regulatory requirements across pharma/biotech projects.
