Job summary

OxyChem, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, seeks a senior Process Safety Engineer to lead PSM, RMP, and Responsible Care programs across manufacturing sites. You will act as a technical expert for risk analysis, hazard modeling, atmospheric and mechanical integrity, and incident investigations.

The role requires a chemical engineering degree, 10+ years of experience in process safety, and strong communication skills to collaborate with site leadership and HES&S teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering required; other engineering disciplines considered with relevant experience.
• Minimum 10 years of plant process, maintenance, or project engineering experience.
• Deep knowledge of OSHA, RMP, Responsible Care and related process-safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Process Safety Management, Risk Management Plan, and Responsible Care programs across sites.
• Oversee risk assessments, PHAs, and facility siting to mitigate incidents.
• Coordinate mechanical integrity for tanks, piping, vessels, and equipment.
• Manage process risk audits, action item closures, and documentation.
• Mentor site teams on hazard analysis, MOC, and incident investigations.
