Job summary

OxyChem, a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a seasoned Process Safety and Risk Management leader to drive PSM, RMP, and Responsible Care programs across its manufacturing sites in the Dallas area. The role requires a chemical engineering degree and 10+ years in process safety, risk analysis, and project engineering, with up to 30% travel.

You will apply HAZOP/LOPA methods, manage risk reviews, and train site personnel on hazard analysis, MOC, and safety compliance, while partnering with HES& S

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 10 years of plant process, maintenance, or project engineering experience.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, RMP, Responsible Care, and other process safety standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel up to 30% and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead Process Safety Management and Risk Management programs for manufacturing sites.
• Oversee development and execution of PSM, RMP, and Responsible Care initiatives.
• Serve as Process Risk technical expert for design, operation, and maintenance of critical equipment.
• Apply hazard analysis tools including HAZOP/LOPA and consequence modeling.
• Provide Process Risk training on hazard analysis, MOC, and related topics.
• Support audits, risk registers, and regulatory compliance across sites.
