Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a senior Process Safety Engineer to lead the site’s PSM program and ensure OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance across operations. The role will coordinate PHAs, MOC, and MAQ oversight, while mentoring cross-functional teams and liaising with engineering, operations, and EHS to assess risk and regulatory impacts of changes.

The position requires 5+ years of PSM experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and US eligibility; relocation to Benson by 2027 is

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in process safety management.
Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, NFPA, API standards.
Experience conducting PHAs and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

Lead development and continuous improvement of the site's PSM program in line with OSHA and EPA requirements.
Manage all PSM elements including PHAs, MOC, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
Facilitate cross-functional HAZOPs, LOPA studies, and risk assessments.
Serve as subject-matter expert for process risk and technical safety standards.
Partner with engineering, operations, and EHS teams to evaluate safety and regulatory impacts of changes.
Maintain an accurate inventory of hazardous materials and MAQ compliance.
Develop systems for monitoring chemical usage and prevent MAQ exceedances.
Coordinate with local fire authorities for MAQ reporting, permitting, or inspections.
Analyze process safety metrics and report to leadership.
Develop and deliver process safety and MAQ training for employees and contractors.
Champion a strong process safety culture through communication and engagement.
