Job summary

Buckeye Partners L.P. invites applications for a Senior Specialist, Process Safety. The role supports Process Safety Management programs across Engineering and Construction Groups and domestic pipelines and terminals.

This hybrid, full-time position can be located at Buckeye assets with preferred sites including East Chicago, IN; Houston, TX; Allentown, PA; Port Reading, NJ; or Tampa, FL. The candidate will drive PSM activities and safety program stewardship.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Health and Safety or advanced degree.
• 3–10 years in petrochemical/oil and gas risk and safety.
• Experience with Apollo PHA, HAZOP, HAZID or QRA.

Responsibilities

• Asset Maintenance Plan development with Operations and E&C.
• Identify and document HSSE risk reduction strategies.
• Plan and lead HAZOP, PHA, MOC and facility siting studies.
• Support Process Safety Management across sites and corporate HSSE teams.
• Train and mentor staff on updated procedures.
• Audit and enforce compliance with procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
