BAYSTAR is seeking a Sr. PSM Engineer to support Process Safety Management programs across our sites, ensuring documentation and compliance for OSHA-regulated hazards.

The role includes participation in PHA/LOPA studies, MOC activities, and incident investigations, with occasional support during turnarounds. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in a related engineering field, 5+ years in petrochemicals or process safety, and strong communication skills to coordinate with Operations,

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Safety Engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience in petrochemicals, refining, or technical field.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulatory requirements and hazard analysis concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Assist OSHA required PHAs and 5-year PHA re-validations.
• Assist OSHA required PSM compliance audits and 3-year re-certification.
• Coordinate regular team meetings with Operations, Maintenance to review PHA and audit recommendations.
• Set up and maintain tracking system for MOCs and overall compliance.
• Support PHAs activities including generating documentation and reports.
• Assist with MOC activities including pre-startup safety reviews and training.
• Support HSSE activities during turnarounds and safety reviews.
• Conduct incident investigations and RCA evaluations with closure follow-up.
• Close out Audit Findings and Action Items from safety databases.
• Complete special HSSE projects and establish inspection plans.
• Work with site personnel on pressure relief, piping, and ventilation tracking.
• Coordinate process/equipment failure investigations and regulatory matter investigations.
