Job summary

General Mills is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Process and Packaging Engineer (Sr. Systems Engineer) to lead safety and operational excellence on the plant floor.

You will build capability, drive continuous improvement, and optimize system performance and product quality while delivering capacity and productivity gains for the platform. You will interact with Engineering, Operations and R&D to implement financially impactful system investments, training content, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field with applicable experience.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Advanced data and statistical analysis capabilities.
• Proficiency in manufacturing data analysis systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and food safety initiatives across site operations.
• Develop and coach Manufacturing Engineers and operations staff.
• Own continuous improvement and loss elimination projects.
• Ensure foundational systems and equipment performance meet targets.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering and operations for product/process improvements.
