Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/Process Equipment Installer for our Utah Division in the Eagle Mountain area. You will read blueprints, lay out piping and install equipment such as clarifiers, filters, and pumps.

This role requires at least five years of piping and equipment installation on water/wastewater projects, safety awareness, and the ability to work on site in varied weather, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least five (5) years of experience installing piping and equipment on multi-functional water/wastewater projects required.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Willingness to work overtime and outdoors in all weather.
• Knowledge of crane rigging and signaling.

Responsibilities

• Review and comprehend blueprint drawings and specifications.
• Lay out large and small diameter mechanical piping, and equipment such as clarifier, filters, chemical rooms, aeration basin system, influent fine screens, and pumps.
• Help monitor safety for all on-site personnel and subcontractors.
• Help the Project Superintendent monitor project labor.
• Understand the process of equipment installation, alignment, and anchoring.
• Knowledge of crane rigging and signaling.
• Knowledge of different types of process piping materials and connections, PVC, Steel, SST, and DIP.
• Knowledge of forklift, scissor lift and boom lift operations.
• Any and all other duties assigned.
