Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Pipefitter to join our Utah Division in the Eagle Mountain area to install piping and equipment on water and wastewater projects.

You will read blueprints, lay out piping, monitor safety, and coordinate with the Project Superintendent to ensure proper installation of equipment such as clarifiers, pumps, and chemical rooms. This full-time role requires 5+ years of piping experience and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years installing piping on water/wastewater projects.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with equipment installation, alignment and anchoring.
• Knowledge of crane rigging and signaling.
• Able to work at construction sites and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review and comprehend blueprint drawings and specifications.
• Lay out large and small diameter piping and equipment such as clarifiers, filters, chemical rooms, and pumps.
• Monitor on-site safety for personnel and subcontractors.
• Assist the Project Superintendent in monitoring labor.
• Understand equipment installation, alignment and anchoring processes.
• Knowledge of crane rigging and signaling.
• Know different piping materials (PVC, steel, SST, DIP).
• Operate forklift, scissor lift and boom lift as needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
