Job Responsibilities

Responsible for complete design tasks for manufacturing facilities in biopharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries, including process equipment coordination and collaboration with engineering disciplines. Support procurement, technical reviews, and construction activities.

Key Duties

• Utilize departmental design and drafting standards.
• Review project scope, specifications, and design criteria.
• Assist during startup and perform engineering calculations and specifications.
• Develop layouts, cost studies, preliminary and detailed designs.
• Review vendor and discipline drawings for accuracy.
• Ensure designs are efficient, cost-effective, and meet client expectations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Apply advanced engineering techniques to complex designs.
• Develop interoffice work packages and support field data collection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
• Knowledge of ASME BPE standards, FDA/GMP compliance, piping materials, and design standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; excellent communication and presentation skills.
• PE registration preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
