Weston is seeking a Senior Professional Mechanical Engineer with a background in mechanical or civil engineering required for water and wastewater treatment, conveyance systems, pressurized systems, and piping design. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in the design of new and renovated systems and possess leadership experience working with remediation systems, industrial treatment, manufacturing operations, and drinking water. The selected candidate will have a proven track record leading teams in multidisciplinary designs and field commissioning operations, with a strong sense of community learning and mentorship.

Location:

Various Offices in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, or Dallas, Texas; West Chester, PA; Chicagoland Area, IL; or Concord, NH (remote considered for very strong applicants only)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 15 years related experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer with an active NCEES account, able to quickly obtain registration in additional states as required.
• Experience working with drinking water facilities, wastewater treatment and conveyance, remediation systems, energy providers, and government clients.
• Knowledge of conveyance piping design and pressurized piping design in manufacturing facilities, including calculating pump sizes, transient pressures, pipe flow, and head loss.
• Familiarity with environmental consulting, permitting, and compliance.
• Proficiency with analysis tools and modeling software for pipe networks and mechanical systems; knowledge of CAD programs like AutoDesk Civil 3D, REVIT, and Plant3D is a plus.
• Experience with bid preparation, evaluation, negotiation, and responding to client RFPs with technical and pricing proposals.
• Effective communication skills for report writing, proposals, and cost estimates.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and vendors, and perform site visits and bid walks.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for federal projects.

• Performing design calculations, collaborating with team members, and assisting project managers with estimates and schedules.
• Developing future leaders in design, coordinating reports and specifications, and conducting quality control checks.
• Leading proposal efforts, participating in professional societies, and interacting with clients on project tasks.

Salary Range: $96,500 - $128,900 - $161,000
