Job summary

Knauf Insulation North America is seeking a Process Engineering Manager to lead the process department at a new plant, driving continuous improvement and best-practice implementations across multiple departments. You will design modifications to equipment to improve production and quality, and lead Lean Six Sigma projects with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Lean Six Sigma training/certification preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Process Engineer in an industrial manufacturing environment with product trials, customer complaints and product testing.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience leading/supervising/managing high‑performance teams in a similar environment.
• Travel approximately 10% of the time as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify process bottlenecks, conduct root cause analysis and implement improvements.
• Maintain operations by enforcing project, operational and personnel policies.
• Lead end-to-end process projects: setup, validation and audit measurement systems.
• Resolve quality issues with corrective actions and resources.
• Lead the Engineering Team at the plant.
• Communicate initiatives to Plant Operations Manager.
• Drive productivity and process improvement aligned with business goals.
• Conduct quality awareness and Six Sigma training within the organization.
• Coach teams to meet certification and process-improvement objectives.
• Maintain knowledge through education, benchmarking, networks, and best practices.
