Job summary

Knauf Insulation North America, based in the US, seeks a Process Engineer to monitor and control our cold-end manufacturing processes—curing, sizing, facing and packaging—driving data-driven improvements. You will analyze process data with Process Technicians, Production Superintendents and others to identify bottlenecks and apply improvements that meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities include performing technical data analyses, supporting process and product optimization, cost reduction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Ceramic Engineering or related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in Process/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; SAP and Minitab helpful.
• Knowledge of chemistry related to glass, binder and washwater; machinery design/use.
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to read drawings and direct maintenance repairs.
• Ability to write work instructions and procedures.
• Commitment to inclusion and a culture of collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analyses of manufacturing data for curing, sizing, facing, and packaging.
• Identify bottlenecks through time studies and other methods.
• Apply analysis results to improve processes and meet customer expectations.
• Suggest enhancements to manufacturing capabilities; participate in optimization projects.
• Execute projects toward cost reduction, productivity gains, and process improvements.
• Maintain process set points for curing, sizing, facing, and packaging.
• Collaborate with process engineers and corporate functions.
• Review new product requests against plant capabilities; maintain data records.
