Job summary

Kent in Corpus Christi, TX, seeks a senior Process Engineer to lead process engineering for refinery projects. You will be client-facing, directing multi-discipline teams, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

With 15–20 years in refinery design and EPC delivery, you will shape design basis, PFDs, P&IDs, relief analyses, and documentation, while mentoring engineers and coordinating across offices. This is a direct-hire, full-time role at our Corpus Christi site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required; Texas licensure preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of process engineering experience, refinery experience, and proven project delivery responsibility.
• Experience with EPC projects and FEED through detailed design.
• Strong knowledge of refinery units, utilities, and offsites; safety-focused design.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering execution for refinery projects, ensuring technical quality, schedule, and budget.
• Serve as client-facing Process Engineering focal point for discussions and recommendations.
• Develop, review, and approve key deliverables: Design Basis, PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulics, relief analyses, and equipment datasheets.
• Lead multi-discipline teams and mentor engineers; manage scope and staffing.
• Coordinate with operations and project teams to define scope and meet facility needs.
• Lead P&ID reviews, HAZOP participation, and design workshops; drive risk-based decisions.
