Job summary

Kent is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to be based in Corpus Christ, Texas, and seconded to the client. You will provide project discipline engineering support on project teams toward successful completion and meeting objectives.

You will lead design reviews, oversee substations and protective schemes, and coordinate with operations and vendors to ensure safety and compliance on complex electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical distribution design for refining/chemical plants.
• PE preferred but not required; familiarity with API/NFPA/IEEE is expected.
• Experience with 69 kV, 12.47 kV, 4.16 kV and 480 V systems.
• Knowledge of area classification and grounding design standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee electrical systems for refining/chemical projects.
• Review equipment data sheets, vendor data, and drawings for constructability.
• Lead startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers and discipline managers to execute plans.
• Ensure safety procedures, LOTO, and site permits are followed.
