Coherent in Massachusetts is seeking a hands-on engineer to support fabrication and development of thin-film tunable filters on-site. You will help improve wafer and chip yield, reduce costs and shorten production cycles, while integrating with manufacturing and product teams.

The role requires a BS in engineering or physical sciences, 3+ years in semiconductor/thin-film fabrication, and experience with photolithography, high-vacuum equipment and SPC.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• At least three years of semiconductor or thin-film fabrication experience.
• Hands-on photolithography experience.
• Experience with high-vacuum equipment.
• Experience with SPC and wafer data interpretation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Support fabrication and development activities for thin-film tunable filters.
• Work with key fabrication processes, including photolithography, wet and dry etching, and thin-film deposition.
• Analyse wafer measurement data and resolve results that fall outside process capability.
• Identify opportunities to improve wafer and chip yield, quality and reliability.
• Reduce fabrication costs, waste and production cycle times.
• Apply Statistical Process Control to monitor performance and improve process stability.
• Operate, troubleshoot and support the repair of high-vacuum equipment.
• Design mechanical components and systems using CAD.
