Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for our Randburg facility to optimize production, guarantee product quality, safety and efficiency, and drive continuous improvement across specialty chemical manufacturing processes.

You will lead process design and scale-up from lab to pilot and full commercial scale, run process simulations, troubleshoot operations, and ensure compliance with SHE regulations while collaborating with R&D, operations and QA teams; a Bachelor's degree in Chemical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in process engineering in specialty chemicals.
Strong design, troubleshooting and optimization expertise.
Knowledge of reaction engineering, separations and process control.
Experience with Aspen Plus or ChemCAD.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and monitor process improvements to boost efficiency and quality.
Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Conduct process design and feasibility studies for new products or modifications.
Oversee scale-up from lab to pilot and full production.
Ensure compliance with SHE regulations and maintain SOPs and process docs.
Collaborate with R&D, operations and QA to meet project goals.
Perform simulations and data analysis to support decisions.
Manage process improvement projects from conception to completion.
Stay current with new technologies and best practices in specialty chemical manufacturing.
