Job summary

Garmin Ltd. seeks a Senior Process Engineer for its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will provide technical leadership and project planning for complex manufacturing tasks across multiple new products in development.

The Process Development Team (PDT) manages smart factory implementations within Garmin's global operations. You will drive quality improvements, automate processes, and collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal).
  • Detail oriented, organized, team oriented and driven problem solver.

Responsibilities

  • Research and development of new automation concepts.
  • Test, validate and integrate equipment components into production environments.
  • Model moderately complex parts and assemblies in 3D CAD software.
  • Interact with product design engineers to incorporate Design for Manufacturability principles.
  • Project manage and collaborate with fellow project stakeholders.
  • Mentor less experienced Process Engineers (1 & 2).
  • Troubleshoot, support and continuously improve existing automated solutions.
