Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead the design and delivery of process and utility systems for semiconductor, biopharmaceutical, and other industrial facility projects. This role offers technical leadership across design phases and close collaboration with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of experience with process systems in semiconductor, petrochemical, biopharmaceutical, or similar industries.
• Experience leading process engineering deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting project delivery from design through construction preferred.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain PE within 6 months preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, safety practices, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of process and utility systems for semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, biopharmaceutical, and other industrial facility projects.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight throughout project phases, from concept development and design through construction and project closeout.
• Develop and oversee engineering deliverables, including design packages, specifications, calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
• Resolve complex engineering challenges and support high-quality, client-focused project outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients, multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and project partners to deliver innovative and efficient facility designs.
• Guide process engineering teams through project execution, resource planning, staff development, and technical growth.
