Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead the design and delivery of process and utility systems for semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, biopharmaceutical, and other industrial facility projects. This role provides technical leadership across project phases and coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of experience with process systems in relevant industries.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain PE within 6 months preferred.
• Experience leading deliverables and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of process and utility systems for semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, biopharmaceutical, and other industrial facility projects.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight through project phases from concept to closeout.
• Develop and oversee design packages, specifications, calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
• Resolve complex engineering challenges and support client-focused project outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients, multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and partners to deliver efficient facility designs.
• Guide process engineering teams through execution, planning, staff development, and growth.
• Design and evaluate systems including ultrapure water, process water, wastewater, chemical delivery, gas distribution, and process exhaust.
• Create and review P&IDs, equipment layouts, hydraulic models, pipe stress analyses, and system designs.
• Translate complex concepts into clear documentation and recommendations for informed decisions.
• Support strategic initiatives to advance process engineering capabilities and travel as needed.
