Job summary
Ingredion is seeking a Process Engineer at our Bedford Park, IL site to drive manufacturing excellence through process optimization and continuous improvement. You will partner with production, maintenance, and engineering to deliver safer, higher-quality, and more productive operations.
Responsibilities include leading improvement projects, developing engineering docs, troubleshooting issues, and supporting capital initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline is required.
- Experience optimizing manufacturing or industrial processes.
- Proven track record in process improvement and operational excellence.
- Knowledge of process engineering principles and process control systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, yield, and cost performance.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Develop engineering documentation such as P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and energy balances.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and support production and maintenance teams.
- Manage small capital projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
- Maintain MOC documentation and ensure EHSSQ compliance.
- Establish and monitor best operating practices and process standardization across the plant.
