Job summary

Hexion is seeking an experienced Chemical/Process Engineer to provide senior technical guidance on resin production, review new recipes, and ensure safety and environmental compliance across plants.

You will lead commissioning and startup activities, mentor operations, perform relief system modelling, and collaborate with Innovation, Commercial, Operations and Supply Chain teams to drive capacity, efficiency, and safe scale-up.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical or Process Engineering required.
• Advanced Excel and intermediate PowerPoint skills.
• Data collection and interpretation skills.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Familiarity with Stage Gate process for projects.
• Understanding of Gantt charts and MS Project.
• Minitab experience desirable.
• Familiarity with SAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering expertise in Resin Production and capacity.
• Advise on safe and efficient chemical process design.
• Develop practical solutions for existing locations.
• Assist project teams on design changes and impact.
• Collaborate with contracted engineers on new processes.
• Lead commissioning and startup of new operations.
• Review PHA and hazard analyses; participate in HAZOPs.
• Represent team to Leadership on technical issues.
