Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Process Engineer to drive process excellence in our specialty chemical operations. You will work on capital projects, develop management systems (PSM, RCA, JSA, Halal, RSPO, cGMP), and partner with Manufacturing and R&D to scale new products and improve process capability.

Requirements include a BS Chemical Engineering and 4+ years in process engineering, plus experience with DeltaV, SAP S/4HANA, and ISO 9001.

Qualifications

BS degree in Chemical Engineering required.
4+ years of Process Engineering experience.
Experience with cross-functional teams in new product development, technology transfer, process improvement and operations.
Experience with statistical process control and statistical techniques.
Familiarity with DeltaV (plus).
Familiarity with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) (plus).
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and cosmetic ingredient GMP (plus).
Familiarity with SAP S4HANA (plus).

Responsibilities

Drive process excellence across production and capital projects.
Support building/maintaining management systems such as PSM, RCA, JSA, Halal, RSPO, and cGMP.
Coordinate with manufacturing and R&D during development and scale-up of new products/processes.
Enter production records into SAP and review cost variances.
Provide process troubleshooting and technical guidance, possibly outside normal hours.
