Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation is seeking an Improvement Process Engineer to drive process and technology improvements that enhance manufacturing performance and safety. You will lead cross-functional efforts to optimize unit operations and implement robust, compliant systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 4+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, process improvement, or production engineering.
  • Proven ability to leverage technology and optimization to improve operational performance.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels and functions within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities.

  • Guide projects through Front-End Loading (FEL) phases, serving as the manufacturing representative to ensure operational excellence and readiness.
  • Champion process safety in all project designs, ensuring robust, safe, and compliant manufacturing systems.
  • Integrate cross-functional input to ensure optimal technology selection and operability in capital and improvement projects.
  • Ensure strong communication and coordination between project teams and plant operations to maintain technical integrity.
  • Lead new product trials within the plant, ensuring successful implementation and operational transition.
  • Maintain accountability for the technical integrity and operability of supported production units.
