Job summary

Revive Environmental in Columbus, OH seeks a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to lead design and development across the Annihilator SCWO systems and GAC RENEW platform, owning optimization of existing plants and contributing to next‑generation designs as the company scales.

You will drive PFD/P&ID work, heat & mass balances, equipment sizing, simulations, and process safety formalities, collaborating with operations to boost throughput, uptime, and reliability in PFAS destruction technology.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in process engineering design, preferably in high-temperature or hazardous waste treatment systems.
• Strong safety record.
• Background in thermal reaction systems, heat integration, and fluid mechanics.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering design across Revive's technology offerings, from PFDs and P&IDs through heat and mass balances, equipment sizing, and process simulations.
• Drive optimization of fielded systems to increase throughput, uptime, and maintenance intervals.
• Support development of new and next-generation technology offerings as Revive scales.
• Perform thermodynamic and kinetic modeling of SCWO reactions, including PFAS mineralization and salt behavior.
• Specify and size major equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, valves, blowdown systems, and instrumentation.
• Provide responsive engineering support to operations for troubleshooting and performance tuning across the Annihilator fleet.
