Job summary

Matlen Silver seeks a Senior Process Engineer for contract work in Tempe, AZ, with hybrid onsite requirements. The role focuses on developing and validating manufacturing processes for new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in process development, validation, PFMEA, MSA, and SOP/PPAP development, and is eager to work onsite at least 3 days per week to drive process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and manufacturing engineering principles.
• Knowledge of process development, implementation, or process improvement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Willingness to work onsite in Tempe, AZ at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for new product and manufacturing process introductions.
• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, reliability, and efficiency.
• Support equipment selection, design, installation, qualification, and validation.
• Assist with equipment specifications, capital acquisition, and installation activities.
• Develop operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Analyze equipment performance, establish operating parameters, and conduct experimental testing.
• Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP, and PPAP development.
• Conduct process capability studies and MSA.
• Execute process qualifications, validations, and verification activities for new products and processes.
• Review and approve validation documentation.
• Provide hands‑on manufacturing site support during new process implementation and product launches.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manufacturing cycle time, improve quality, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide training to manufacturing personnel and ensure adherence to GMP, quality, and safety standards.
