Job summary

Cambro is seeking a Process Engineer III in Huntington Beach, CA to lead process improvements, MOLD trials, and DOE studies across operations, engineering, quality, and NPD. The candidate will develop and document processes, SOPs, and training, while driving safety, quality, and cost-reduction projects in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering or equivalent
• 10 years in the plastics industry or similar experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Strong technical talent in Manufacturing—Process Development/Process Improvement
• Knowledge of SPC, SQC, and DOE
• MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio; Advanced Excel
• Knowledge of manufacturing monitoring and MRP systems
• Ability to read, interpret, and develop documents and operation manuals

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing processes and equipment to identify improvements
• Develop manufacturing plans and document production processes
• Draft and update SOPs; support production improvements
• Perform process audits and analyze data
• Lead mold trials, material evaluations, and tool design reviews
• Implement standardized processes and lead CI projects
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and NPD; work with vendors
• Provide technical support to maintenance and molding departments
• Oversee start-up of new machinery and equipment
• Develop DOEs for material evaluations and process optimization
• Train manufacturing personnel in systematic molding techniques
