Job summary

U.S. Pipe is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our Lynchburg team in the manufacturing sector. The role focuses on developing systems that reduce costs, improve safety and quality, and increase efficiency and equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate will lead process improvements, support floor operations, and drive design and implementation of new production procedures with outside contractors when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of broad-based engineering experience in manufacturing with Lean and Quality Assurance.
• 7+ years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Improve safety, product quality, delivery, and cost reductions through data analysis.
• Review quality processes and recommend improvements in control.
• Analyze labor, material and production costs to optimize workflows.
• Integrate facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance.
• Identify issues and reduce costs while maximizing quality.
• Lead and support Capex projects and related OPEX, Safety and Quality programs.
• Develop automated and non-automated systems; explore CNC opportunities.
