U.S. Pipe in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking a highly experienced, senior-level Process Engineer to join our team.

You will develop systems and processes to reduce costs, enhance safety, improve product quality, and increase operating efficiencies and equipment reliability. You will support the manufacturing team with floor support, maintenance, equipment and gauge design, quality, and efficiency improvements, and lead Capex initiatives related to manufacturing operations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; Lean and QA experience expected; 7+ years preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office; CAD software, preferably AutoCAD.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Process improvement through data analysis to improve safety, product quality, delivery, and cost reductions.
• Evaluate quality processes and recommend improvements in process control.
• Analyze labor, material and production costs to optimize workflows and resources.
• Integrate facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performance.
• Resolve production delays and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Identify needs, conceive improvements, and evaluate costs for optimization of machinery/processes.
• Support and participate in OPEX programs and lead Capex projects for Manufacturing Operations.
• Develop automated and non-automated systems; explore CNC opportunities and new equipment implementations.
• Manage Capex projects from design to commissioning and prepare maintenance documents.
