Job summary

U.S. Pipe is seeking a highly experienced Process Engineer to join our Lynchburg team. The role focuses on developing systems and processes that reduce costs, improve product quality, and increase operating efficiency and equipment reliability.

You will support manufacturing operations, including floor support, maintenance, and design of tools and gauges. Responsibilities include data-driven process improvement, labor and material cost reviews, and leading Capex projects within the Manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering required.
• 5–7 years of broad-based engineering experience in manufacturing; Lean and QA experience needed; 7+ years preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and physics-based engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Improve processes by analyzing manufacturing data to enhance safety, quality, delivery and costs.
• Evaluate quality processes and recommend improvements in quality control.
• Review costs and production requirements to optimize workflows and resources.
• Lead Capex projects and support OPEX, Safety and Quality programs.
• Develop automated and non-automated systems and explore CNC opportunities.
