Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for our New London, NC facility to drive World Class Manufacturing initiatives. You will develop processes, manage equipment, and lead continuous improvement with Lean, RCA and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within Manufacturing and / or Process Engineering, Machine build and test environment.
• Project Management experience.
• Ability to lead and work in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of product launch processes and Core Quality Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and application.
• Experience with CAD and interpreting technical drawings and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively support the improvement of Health and Safety practices across the business.
• Develop and implement robust advanced manufacturing processes and improvements.
• Develop process documentation including one point lessons, visual aids, and work instructions.
• Lead data-driven process improvement projects focused on OEE and safety.
• Apply engineering best practices across the site.
• Collaborate with NPD to ensure requirements are met for products and documentation.
• Provide technical advice and fault-finding during design, build and use.
• Deliver pre-manufacturing engineering processes for new product launches.
• Oversee prototype builds and assembly of components/sub-systems.
• Produce and maintain technical data and drawings.
• Support FMEA and Control Plans documentation.
• Manage activities to support department deliverables including 3D CAD models and BOMs.
• Act as SME for industrial validation and apply processes consistently.
• Training and mentoring of colleagues; lead shift technicians.
