Job summary

RWDY Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer II to lead a design team through front-end design and detailed engineering for projects in the Bakken and Midland basins.

You will oversee engineering contractors, support procurement, and maintain standard designs while guiding process design through detailed engineering. The role requires leadership of process design efforts, capital project experience, and strong English communication skills for interfacing with suppliers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak fluent English in technical and business settings.
• Experience in petroleum refining / chemical process industry / with an engineering contractor serving these industries.
• Capital project development experience.
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise junior engineers in developing process design specifications, including heat & material balances, design flow plans, equipment design, hydraulic balances, utility balances, instrumentation, materials selection, safety facilities.
• Conduct process optimization studies to identify capital/operating cost savings and design alternatives.
• Provide technical oversight for contractor work to ensure compliance with methods, guidelines, specifications, and owner requirements.
• Participate in Hazard & Operability Reviews for new or modified facilities.
• Provide commissioning and start-up assistance for new/modified facilities as needed.
• Establish organization and staffing processes.
