The role requires 10–15 years of experience, a BS in Chemical Engineering, and strong capital project background. Expect travel up to 25% and frequent coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 10–15 years of experience in refining or chemical processing industries.
• Capital project development experience.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines under heavy workloads.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical communications.
• Fluent in English for technical and business context.
• Travel up to 25% to site locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team to develop basic process design specifications or oversee an engineering contractor's work during front end design and detailed engineering.
• Monitor and guide junior engineers in process design activities including heat & material balances, equipment design, and safety facilities.
• Lead or participate in process optimization studies for capital/operating cost savings and configuration options.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure contractor work aligns with company standards and owner's requirements.
• Support Hazard & Operability Reviews for new or modified facilities and provide commissioning/start-up assistance.
