Shure seeks a Senior Process Engineer in Niles, IL for a hybrid role (3+ days on-site). You will lead development of manufacturing processes and equipment, drive yield improvements, and partner with product design for DFA input.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Project leadership experience desired.
• Management presentation skills.
• English preferred; Spanish/ Mandarin helpful.
• Travel for project work (>10%).
• Experience with office tools (word, spreadsheets).
• Experience with advanced manufacturing processes such as adhesive dispense, press fit, laser marking, soldering, cable and electro‑mechanical assembly, vision inspection, and rework.
• Knowledge of validation and production qualification methods including pilot builds and production readiness.
• Proficiency with SPC, DOE, Cpk/Ppk, FPY/yield analysis, lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.
• Experience maintaining PFMEAs, process specs, work instructions, and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and implementation of equipment, automation, and processes for future manufacturing systems.
• Defines and validates process parameters, windows, and readiness via pilot builds and capability studies.
• Improves product quality, reduces cycle times, and enhances safety and environment impact.
• Collaborates with design to ensure DFA input and manufacturing compatibility.
• Speaks to supplier partners, oversees FAT/SAT, installation support, and handoffs to production.
• Uses data-driven methods to identify variation and drive measurable improvements.
