Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree.
• 2+ years hands-on hardware experience.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to characterize processes and/or hardware using first principles and experimental design techniques (DOE, RSM).
• Highly motivated, curious, and eager to learn.
• Ability to travel (domestic and international) 25-50%.

Responsibilities

• Drives and owns top customer productivity issues for products in the field across the product life cycle.
• Interacts with hardware, electrical, controls, product support, process, and software engineering teams to become the system level expert on new products in the field.
• Provides guidance to engineering during design on customer requirements and productivity specifications.
• Designs and conducts experiments using DOE and RSM to meet objectives.
• Troubleshoots equipment problems and engages in hands-on problem solving.
• Owns marathon qualification of new processes and products in the development lab with data collection and improvement plans.
• Ensures processes follow best known practices throughout the product life cycle and shares solutions across teams.
