Job summary

ASM is seeking an Engineer, Field Process in Phoenix, AZ, to serve as the on-site process applications bridge among customers, Field Service, and global product teams. The role focuses on process performance, qualification, containment, escalation discipline, and data-driven improvement in a customer fab environment.

The ideal candidate has advanced degrees in a technical field and strong skills in DOE, data analysis, and semiconductor processing technologies, with the ability to travel and work

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD preferred in a technical field; Bachelor's degree candidates will be considered with significant semiconductor experience.
• Experience with DOE/SPC/JMP and data analysis tools.
• Strong ability to interpret metrology and process-output data such as film thickness, uniformity, or sheet resistance.

Responsibilities

• Support ASM tools through installation, start-up, qualification, warranty, ramp, and production-support phases.
• Track process specifications, tool performance, and issue status through data reviews and follow-up.
• Drive containment, short-term recovery actions, and long-term corrective actions when requirements are not met.
• Design and analyze experiments for qualification and continuous improvement.
• Share lessons learned and maintain clear documentation and escalation records.
• Collaborate with field service, accounts, and global product teams to resolve customer-facing issues.
