Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling for efficient production of high-quality parts. You will manage project timing, coordinate with teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Hybrid work arrangement applies, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, reporting to the local GM facility. A strong background in mechanical/industrial engineering and gear manufacturing is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Five years of experience in senior process/gear manufacturing roles.
• Experience with machining processes, manufacturing design, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling alternatives to optimize production.
• Lead large programs by setting timelines and milestones.
• Provide technical direction and oversight of external vendors.
• Apply continuous improvement methods, including lean manufacturing, to reduce costs and improve quality.
